EcoGlobe is the embodiment and culmination of 2 years of research and development in the field of Solid State Lighting (SSL) applications for the Sub Saharan African market.

Our products are currently used by numerous private sector, para-statal and municipal installations that provide us with the basis not only to believe in our product but more so in our business model and the ethos that drives us at EcoGlobe. 

Our team is an efficient and knowledgeable group of highly skilled individuals all of whom strive to provide the customer with the comfort of a lighting solution that makes commercial sense both in the energy efficiency savings and the cost amortisation of the product cost.

The journey into Solid State Lighting commenced in 2008 when the power generation capacities of Eskom were exposed as being substantially vulnerable.  The nett impact on the consumer is a substantial increase in the cost of power.

These increases are not only a current reality, but will be a reality in the future in a compounded manner.  Based on the fact that there will be future increases on an already increased price, these increases are inevitable and cannot be avoided.

The controversial initial increase of 25% by Eskom has now become a true reality and the impact on bottom line profits is now being felt by the various end users - predominantly in the commercial sphere.  Given the current economic climate and the margin compressions that are a current reality, the end user’s ability to sustain and fund the increased power charges levied by Eskom becomes increasingly difficult.  This has brought the base rationale for the installation of our products into its own.
